Kimbolton’s Thelma 15-Year-Old Rare Tawny has been named in honour of our Nanna (Thelma), who was quite partial to a tipple or two of fortified throughout the day.
Careful blending has achieved this special release rare tawny, with an average barrel age of 15 years The oldest parcel being from vintage 1993 and the youngest from vintage 2012. The grapes were sourced from all over South Australia, with varieties such as Grenache, Chradonnay, Verdehlo, Gordo and Shiraz.
This wine is a smooth, rich, medium bodied tawny showing a lovely balanced sweetness, with great nutty, caramel and raisin characters.
It is extremely hard to stop at one glass!
